This is an unusual love story about the main character Running Brook who was kidnapped by the Comanche when she was an infant. The main story begins when she is a young adult who is living with a Christian couple who introduced her to their beliefs. Two young men are taking her to find her birth family in Texas and she is confused about her emotional feelings for them. She is thrilled to discover her real name when her grandmother and her father recognize and accept her. But there are others who are not pleased with her appearance and her life may be in danger. Who can she really trust to help her? She learns that above all she must trust God for protection and guidance in her life. This is a sweet romantic story, but it seemed a bit unrealistic in how easily Running Brock adapted to lifestyles that were very different from her formative years. But it is a good clean story that I would recommend to anyone.Product details

I love this Book!
Once again Barbara Goss has captured my romantic imagination from the beginning to end of her book. She gets right to the 'heart' of her story and keeps you entertained all the way through. I love the way she infuses her love of God into her stories without overwhelming them. This story gets 5 stars from me. So do her other books, "Captured Heart", "Dangerous Illusions", and "Forbidden Legacy". They are all wonderfully written, G rated, historical romances that are perfect for all ages.

Ms Goss has written another entertaining Western romance. Some of the plot is a bit implausible, but it was a satisfying read that I would recommend.
Nice story. Not preachy but people depend on God to take care of them. A young lady is captured by the Comanche when a baby. Raised by them until she is 16 then she lives with missionaries who teach her to survive in the white world. Would recommend
Goss has become one of my favorite authors. I've spent the last week or so reading her books. She never disappoints, always delivering enjoyable and lovely stories. This particular one has made my favorites list. The author keeps the reader guessing what's going to happen, up until the end. Definitely a must read for any historical romance fan, and the best part is it's a Christian romance, therefore it is clean )
